Held biennially, Musica nova Helsinki presents the very latest in music and contemporary classics. The festival introduces Finnish and international composers and actively seeks to build bridges between contemporary music and other genres of the arts. In 2025, the festival edition’s overarching theme was Together, reflecting everything that can form between individuals – for example, communities, collectives, networks, trust, hierarchies, tensions, interaction, dependencies and rituals. The next festival edition will take place in 2027.
