Korvat auki: Convergent Pathways

Event Introduction

Convergent Pathways is a concert about spatial encounters featuring four world premieres for chamber group. Composers Anna Hakula, Otto Nuoranne, Pietari Kaasinen, and Teemu Heinonen have worked around the concept of performative installation applying spatial diffusion techniques to their new pieces. The concert will take place at Rikhardinkadun kirjasto, a venue that offers the opportunity for the audience to experience sound from different points in the space and create, through their movement, their own experience of the sonic pathways. The chamber ensemble consists of violin, viola, cello, flute, saxophone, horn, kantele, acoustic guitar and conductor.

NB! On Friday 7.2. at 12 noon there will be a discussion (in Finnish) with the composers and Tuuli Lindeberg at the festival’s NovaCorner at Café Feeniks in R Building.
