Music of Our Time: Enno Poppe
Event Introduction
Composer and doctoral candidate Jarkko Hartikainen interviews one of Germany’s most prominent living composers, Enno Poppe, in a special session of the Sibelius Academy’s Music of Our Time lecture series. In the interview, Poppe discusses his musical thinking and his work as a composer, conductor, and performer. At the end of the session, the audience will have the opportunity to ask their own questions.
The leading contemporary music ensemble Ensemble Musikfabrik, based in Cologne, will perform Poppe’s work Prozession (2015/2020) under the composer’s own direction. The concert will take place at the Sibelius Academy Concert Hall on Saturday, February 15, at 7 PM, as part of the closing program of the Musica nova festival. Read more about the concert »
